Although Halloween is several months away, it is never early to start getting some ideas for what your kid might like to be this year. Most parents recognize their kid will change his/her mind at least a dozen times before the Halloween season is actually here, but parents can still throw some ideas out to them now.
On Halloween night small boys love transforming themselves in to Superheroes. The classics like Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Robin are always a giant hit for trick-or-treating. Today lots of popular trends for Halloween costumes are geared toward characters from movies that are thought about summer blockbuster hits. This year there's some new heroes and returning heroes that will certainly be giant sellers for Halloween costumes:
Iron Man Speed Racer The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Texas Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cranium The Dark Knight The Brilliant Hulk
Disney characters are always popular with children and Disney sure makes it simple with all the amazing characters in their giant screen movies and on the Disney channel. I am sure all of us have seen Simba from The Lion King, Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story or a Power Ranger on our front porch trick-or-treating in years past on Halloween night. Last year some of the more popular costumes for pre-teen and teenagers were from High School Musical and Hannah Montana. High School Musical three: Senior Year is being released on the giant screen in October so you can bet that trend will be as popular this year.
In a survey conducted by the National Retail Federation the top ten most popular kid's costumes last year were:
Princess Spider Man Pirate Witch Fairy Disney Princess Star Wars Character Pumpkin Ghost Power Ranger
Whether your kid desires a traditional classic costume or that is based off a film or tv show they like, there's lots of ideas for them to select from. Have fun shopping around and enjoy getting them prepared for their giant night of trick-or-treating!
